Our Values and Aims

At 22nd Stoke Scouts, we believe in giving young people the opportunity to discover their potential, try new things, and develop skills for life, all while having fun and making lasting friendships.

We are proud to follow the core values of Scouting:
Integrity, Respect, Care, Belief, and Cooperation.
These values guide everything we do, from the way we support each other to how we engage with our local community and the wider world.

Our Aims

Our aim is to offer a high-quality Scouting experience that:

  • Encourages personal development
We help young people grow in confidence, independence, and resilience by encouraging them to take on challenges, lead their peers, and learn from experiences.

  • Promotes teamwork and leadership
Through games, activities, and adventures, we create opportunities for every young person to lead, listen, and work together as part of a team.

  • Fosters a spirit of adventure
From local hikes to international camps, we believe adventure is at the heart of Scouting. We aim to inspire curiosity, courage, and a love for the outdoors.

  • Celebrates diversity and inclusion
Everyone is welcome at 22nd Stoke. We create a space where every young person regardless of background or ability feels safe, valued, and included.

  • Encourages community involvement
We aim to help young people become active, caring citizens who contribute positively to their communities through service, awareness, and kindness.

  • Builds lifelong skills and friendships
Scouting is about more than badges and uniforms, it’s about building real-world skills and meaningful relationships that last a lifetime.

Why It Matters

Everything we do is designed to equip young people with the tools they need to thrive—now and in the future. Whether they stay in Scouting for a year or a decade, they’ll leave with confidence, compassion, and a sense of belonging.
