Uniform

Our uniform consists of a sweatshirt or shirt that you can sew badges on and a red and gold necker which identifies you as belonging to 22nd Stoke Scouts. There are lots of other optional accessories you can wear such as hats, hoodies, trousers or shorts, but the only essential item for you to purchase is the sweatshirt (Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs) or shirt (Scouts, Explorers, Adults).

Uniform can be bought from the online Scout Shop. If you’re not sure where to start, our volunteers can give you more information about what and where to buy. They may even know if someone is selling a uniform second hand. There are grants available to help you buy a uniform, ask your team lead for more details.

The uniform is where we sew the many badges that you will earn throughout your time in Scouting. These badges show how long you’ve participated in Scouting, which activities you are proficient at, and the challenge awards that you have achieved, among other things. Take a look at the Badge Diagrams for the positions that these should be sewed on.
